A Date with Hubby at @McD_Canada for #CBias #EqualCanada

It was lightly snowing outside on a Wednesday evening when my husband suggested we go out for drive to view some Christmas lights and stop for a coffee and I thought what a great opportunity to do my #CBias shop for #EqualCanada. So off we went for our drive and we stopped at our local @McD_Canada for some much needed time alone to talk since the holidays have been way to busy and not nearly enough time for us.

We were greeted by the golden arches above the door as we entered our local McDonald's. Our local McDonald's was just renovated in the last year with a new modern look that I find very pleasing when I enter the restaurant.

As my husband opened the door for me I seen the sign advertising their new McCafe. They are now carrying to many hot drink options definitely not the McDonald's they used to be.

What cute happy meal toys they have right now. My youngest daughter would have loved one. See we go on a mommy and daddy date night and I am thinking about my daughter. I know as a parent that is something that just happens but get out of my head this is mommy and daddy time.

Now on to the date... Mommy and Daddy time much needed and greatly appreciated. Some nice warm beverages to warm us up because it is now snowing outside. Oh and you always need an apple pie to go with it. I will say we were very surprised when we ordered our coffee only to find out that our McDonald's does not carry Equal for our drinks. When I asked about it with the cashier she thought they did until she reached down and pulled up another package that definitely didn't say Equal on it. Now I would think with them really promoting and now having the McCafe in most of their locations I have been in lately that the would offer a selection of sweeteners for their customers to choose from. But obviously that is not the case. For the record we opted for regular sugar instead.

Just couldn't resist sharing with you some of my apple pie. It is so good just always as I remember it... so glad they don't mess with the apple pie after all these years.

But once we were home I didn't skip a beat and hopped online to voice my concerns over the lack of sweetener options at McDonald's and how it would be nice to Equal being offered as one of the options for the customers.

In the end we did have a lovely time just reconnecting together and the restaurant was pretty peaceful probably because we were there after 8pm. So if you want to have a pretty quiet date night I do recommend going after 8pm. We were able to talk until our hearts content.

    We don't seem to get those times often enough so we greatly enjoyed this time together.
