posting from a netbook and an update

Just thought I would get used my our little netbook to get used to the keyboard as this is much more portable then the regular laptop. So this is me getting used to the keyboard and I find myself pressing the back space key a lot. :) I know trial and error most definitely.

My husband has a seasonal job right now working in a local factory. Finding full time employment has been a challenge because they all want you to pass a physical which he can not pass due to injuries suffered from Sterling Trucks. But for now employment is employment and money is money so we can get some of the necessities of life.

We have been very busy with church for the last little while between blessing other families and babies being born. I love doing this job. It is so much fun and I just love to bless people. We have quite a few babies born in or church in a short time and we have a few more due yet. Did I mention I am loving it!!!!!

One night a week we go into the church and do some cleaning of the building. It is my husbands job but I like to help him so that I can spend some time with him. Basically his ministry becomes our family ministry as does mine. It works better that way and more hands make the work easier. From taking out the garbage to helping carry things to a family in need. I really feel Church Ministry should be a family ministry when it is possible. Grant you I know some ministries can not be family ministries due to certain circumstances but most can in some way or another. So you family is not left out. Besides teaching children to serve the Lord at a young age is a good thing. I guess serving has really been on my mind lately. So I guess that is where this rambling is coming from.

A book was recommended to me by a few rubymoms... I love my rubies (they know who they are). So I asked a man of God that I trust about the author and if he has read the book... (not that I didn't trust my rubies... great women of God but I wanted to double check) although he has not read the book himself he let me know the author is a good author so looks like I am going to be reading Radical by David Platt. I hope to have the book in my possession by the end of the week so I can start reading it.

That is it for now... I can get used to using this little netbook... very handy and I like how small it is. :)

  1. I agree, there is something special when families work together for different missions in the church. I'm about to marry a youth pastor, so I've been preparing myself for taking on even more of an active role in many of the ministries he is involved in.

I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the new book :)
